Mindfulness Classes offered by Paul
Embracing the Moment: A Four Week Mindfulness class
What is mindfulness? Is it hard to do? Is it worth the effort? Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment. It is a capacity we all have, but goings on around us and the chatter in our own minds can make it difficult to access it. The practice of mindfulness enables us to manage emotional ups and downs, helps us reduce stress, and allows us to live life more openly and with greater compassion for ourselves and others. Join Paul Deger MA LPC PT in this gentle, practical, and inspiring exploration of mindfulness and meditation. You will walk away from this class with a clear understanding of what is mindfulness, the "how" of developing a sustainable regular practice and direct experience with many forms of mindfulness meditation. You'll be able to select what works best for you and what you can integrate most effectively into your routine. Paul is a licensed professional counselor with over 22 years of experience, teaching mindfulness to organizations, healthcare clinicians, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. He is especially skilled at working with people new to mindfulness, making complex concepts approachable and guiding those who have struggled to learn mindfulness in the past.
